A Thousand Years of Dreams is a collection of short stories that tell of Kaim's past experiences. The stories become available for reading at various points during the game. Reading the stories isn't necessarily required, but will surely provide important information regarding Kaim's past.
The stories contain a variety of characters and each story is different from the next. Each is presented in a different style, accompanied by a musical score, sound effects, and background imagery. Some of them will make you laugh, others cry, but for any hardcore fan it brings a welcoming break from the main storyline and adds character to Kaim.
